FRIDAY - JANUARY 17 - OPTIONAL - 10am - Coast Starlight Train from LA's Union Station to Paso Robles (arrive 4:30pm)
- 3pm - Tea treats on the train
- 5pm - Car from Paso Robles to Cambria (arrive 5:35pm)
- 6:30/7pm - Dinner at restaurant of choice in Cambria (Buy Your Own)
- Overnight at Squibb Houses
SATURDAY - JANUARY 18 - 7:30am - Breakfast at Squibbs B&B
- 8:30am - Car to Hearst Castle
- 9am - *Hearst Castle tour(s) - choice of 2
- 11:45am - Lunch at the Hearst Castle Visitor Centre
- 12:30pm - On your own at the castle. (Your tour director Joy will be visiting both pools plus watching the 40-minute Building the Dream film)
- 2:30pm - Car to Paso Robles station
- 4:30pm - Train from Paso Robles to Salinas (arrive 6:30pm)
- 6:30pm - Car from Salinas to Carmel (arrive 7:15pm)
- 7:45pm - *Dinner at Carmel's historic Pine Inn
- On your own in the evening. Note: the Sunset Theatre may have an 8pm show while we're there
- Overnight at the Pine Inn
SUNDAY - JANUARY 19
- 10am - *Pebble Beach Brunch at the Del Monte resort's Stillwater Grill
- 12noon - *Quick stop to pick up eclairs at the Carmel Bakery
- 1230pm - Car from Pebble Beach to Pacific Grove (arrive 12:45pm)
- 1:30pm - Walking Scavenger Hunt starting at the Jewell Park Gazebo (optional, for prizes)
- 3pm - Afternoon tea & book launch at Eddison & Melrose, includes signed paperback copy of No Scone Left Unturned
- Dinner at La Mia Cucina OR Fandango OR Il Vecchio (BYO)
- *Overnight at the historic Green Gables - Penelope's former home
MONDAY - JANUARY 20 - OPTIONAL - If leaving later on Monday, consider visiting the Monterey Bay Aquarium - Breakfast at the B&B
- 9am - Car to Monterey Transit Plaza
- 9:45am - Amtrak Thruway transfer & train to Oakland (arrive 1:30pm)
- 2pm - Afternoon tea at The Tearoom in Oakland
- 4pm - Car to Oakland International Airport (arrive 4:15/4:30pm)
- Evening flight from Oakland to home sweet home
